As the year draws to a close and the winter nights grow longer, we gather once again to celebrate the Feast of the Nativity. On behalf of the Grand Priory of the Netherlands, we extend our warmest wishes to our Dames, Knights, families, and friends.
Christmas is a time of reflection, joy, and hope. For us within the OSMTH, it is also a profound reminder of our core mission. The arrival of the Light of the World calls us to renew our vows of chivalry—not merely in words, but in deeds.
The Spirit of Non Nobis In the midst of festive celebrations, let us not forget the motto that guides us: Non nobis, Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam (Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy Name give glory).
The true spirit of a Templar Christmas is found in service. It is found in looking out for the vulnerable, supporting the lonely, and offering a hand to those who face the cold of winter without comfort. We encourage all our members to use this season to reach out to their communities, embodying the charity and compassion that define our Order.
A Look Ahead As we celebrate with our loved ones, we also look forward to the coming year. We remain proud to be a constituent member of the OSMTH federation, united with our brothers and sisters across the globe in a shared purpose.
May this Christmas bring peace to your homes and strength to your hearts.
Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year.
